1 Peter 1 "The Hope that Never Dies" Sunday December 17, 2018, 11am Have we, ever asked ourselves, what do we hope for, and what is real hope? The things of this earth, can give us hope, that can satisfy, for a time. Simon Peter, tells us of a hope, that never dies, and satisfies forever. Isaiah, says comfort ye my people, with the scriptures, in which our hope, is found. Come join us, as we renew, and strengthen, this glorious eternal hope. Our Hope, is a living hope, through Jesus the Christ, who died, that we, might live again. Jesus is, our living hope, in that GOD raised him from the dead and he is preparing, a place for us, and a glorious time of joy and praising in heaven. Simon Peter, tells us, how to walk, in this hope. 1 peter 1: 13Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ; We, are not fighting ,a physical battle, but a battle, of the mind. Prepare, for battle against, the spirit of antichrist, that is so strong, in this world. We will be Sober, and have a calmness about us, which means we are not following our emotions, but we are following the scriptures, when we make decisions. Emotions, will fail us, hope to the end, and do not grow weary in doing good. With the Holy Spirit's, power, let us never, fall away from GOD's, living hope, and love until he comes again. The Bible tells us; We, must comfort, each other with GOD's scriptures. That is why we meet in GOD’s house. GOD’s inspiring word, in Isaiah 40:31 tells us, how it will be someday. 31But they that wait upon the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint. A. We have a lively hope, Jesus Christ lives (1:1-6). B. Great troubles, should not cause us to fall away from GOD (1:6-9). C. The prophets predicted this hope, they did not understand. (1:10-12) D. Scripture commands us, to be strong in hope of the Lord(1:13-17) E. Redeemed by the precious blood of Christ. 18-22 F. All will die, but the word of the Lord endureth forever. 24-25. May GOD bless you through His son Jesus our savior with His grace and peace multiplied.
