Ephesians 2 "Saved by Grace" Sunday April 2, 2017, 11am
Grace is very difficult to gather our arms around, and understand all the great blessings that GOD has for us through having Jesus his son as our savior.
Grace is all the things GOD does for us, that we do not deserve and cannot gain by our own works. The first step into GOD’s grace is what Jesus told Nicodemus; that you must be born again; “Salvation”.
Once we have salvation, we are lifted out of the broad path that descends into death and hell, onto the straight and narrow road into a world of celestial beauty, called heaven. Grace gives us eternal life in heaven, comfort, peace that passeth all understanding, joy, and oh so many unnumbered blessings to pour out on us.
Grace gives us forgiveness from our sins, even though we were dead in our sins, GOD has brought us alive through Jesus who brings us peace.
Grace gives us a glorious future as GOD will raise us together in heavenly places, with Jesus, giving us peace, knowing what GOD has in store for us.
We were saved to do good works, doing all things as unto the Lord. Where do we find the list of good works that we should be doing? The Bible lists each command that we should follow once saved.
The number one command is to love the Lord with all your heart, might, soul and then to love thy neighbor as thy self.
The Bible lists the number one gift we must use, is to tell others about Jesus, actually commanding us to save them from themselves. 2 Timothy, 2:24 And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, 25 In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth; 26And that they may recover themselves out of the snare of the devil, who are taken captive by him at his will.
What a desperate state we were in before we met Jesus. 1-3
What did GOD, when GOD saw our helpless estate? 4-7
GOD=s love is received through through faith and not works. 8-10
In times past there were two divisions of people what were they?.11-13
What is the difference between a Jewish and a gentile Christian 14-22
GOD bless you with His grace and peace multiplied
