John16. “Preparation for Joy” Sunday December 18, 2016. 11am

Being offended is a major joy robber among People who are not Christians. Christians should know better because Jesus explained to us the horrible things people will do against us and GOD. Even so we are commanded by Jesus to not be offended and let it affect our Christian way of life. Jesus said in his sermon on the mount, that if they offend us, rejoice, for joy and rewards are coming our way.

Matthew 5:10 Blessed are they which are persecuted for righteousness' sake: for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake.

12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

It always flabbergasted me to see people’s hatred for GOD, then Jesus explained why, that they do not know Jesus or GOD and are being controlled by the spirit of the antichrist. Jesus says in a lot of instances they will go a step further and kill us, thinking they are doing it for GOD. Where have we seen such killings played out, and by what group thinking they are doing GODly work? Isis

Jesus said we may have sorrow because of the evil that is being brought into the world. While the world is rejoicing, thinking they can get rid of the Christian religion, but Jesus said the tables will be turned and our sorrow will be turned into joy. Jesus said be of good cheer for he has overcome the world.

And the day is coming when Jesus will bring us into his joy.  Matthew 25:21  His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.
