Isaiah 26. "Perfect Peace Forever" Sunday December 11, 2016 11am

By Reverend Paul Norman sr. Pastor First Baptist of Saura Valley

This time of year, more than any other, our peace of mind is put to the test, short days, holiday depression, missing loved ones, and many other ways that negative emotions bring depression upon us. But come with us, as we walk through the scriptures to tackle ways to uplift our peace forever.

In a world gone mad, Isaiah teaches us how to have perfect peace by following the commands of the bible.  Faced with many problems, sorrows, etc., listen to Isaiah. Isaiah 26:3 Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on thee: because he trusteth in thee. The psalmist gives us the reasons for that peace. Psalm 73:24; Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

Our troubles can be cast away, lessened, by following GOD's word in Phillipians 4:6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

6Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. 7And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

We have no reason to fear, Salvation provides us with protection in the day of the Lord. In the day of the Lord, those who may possess much earthly power, but do not know the Lord will be reduced to dust.  Our soul doth wait and long for that day when GOD shall wipe away all our tears and restore our soul for his name sake.

What can wash away our sins, what can make me whole again, nothing but the blood of Jesus.  In this seemingly long journey, called life, salvation through Jesus Christ who died that we might be saved to the end, will ensure that when the gates of heaven open, we shall joyously enter in.
